Ulla Juske // Tallinn // Dublin

Art making begins with drawing, making lists and taking notes.

Everyday observations, conversations, thoughts, day-dreams, memories, family archive and passed on stories.

Investigation of cultural identity, belonging, concept of home and displacement emerges.

 

Ulla Juske has a MA in ‘Art in the Digital World’ in National College of Art and Design (Ireland) and a BA in Fine Art Sculpture in Estonian Academy of Arts. Since then Juske has undertaken projects individually and collaboratively in Estonia, Finland, Ireland and UK. 2011 she received an Young Artist Award, 2013 Adamson Eric Award and in 2015 a 6-month Bursary Award from Estonian Cultural Endowment. In 2015 she became a member of Black Church Print Studio.

Ulla is working in collaboration with Ella Bertilsson since 2015. Together they have undertaken residencies in Iceland, Ireland and Norway; and exhibited installation-based work inEstonia,Iceland, Ireland and UK.
